Jocelyn Hagen is an illustrator and painter currently based in Salt Lake, Utah, where she is completing a degree in illustration and business at Brigham Young University.
Her work is defined by a mixed media approach. What stays constant is her process: sitting with an idea, a mood, and experimenting on those feelings to create hopeful and transformative work.
Since 2026, Jocelyn has illustrated for Brigham Young University's Design Department PR team, producing story-driven work for the university's website and publications. She has also spent several years illustrating stickers and brand materials for Utah Whitewater Gear, a family-run outdoor business in Midvale, Utah. In addition, her work has appeared in the Chroma Show, the Artist Stroll Event in Salt Lake City, and she was a 2nd runner-up for the Visual Arts Sterling Scholar award.

What pulls me back to the easel isn't a particular medium or subject — it's the process. Collaborating with the materials and letting the story shape the piece.
